Founded in 2007, MediSens is the first spinout from the UCLA Wireless Health Institute. The Institute includes an interdisciplinary group of experts and innovators from many UCLA Schools including Engineering, Law, Management, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, and Theater, Film, and Television. It was the first selection for membership to the incubator program at the California Nano-Systems Institute where it is currently being housed. It was founded to integrate wireless and medical technologies in order to develop and deliver early warning systems for patients suffering from a variety of ailments. The company is led by an internationally renowned team of computer science and medical professionals, whose expertise and vision have enabled the transition of MediSens' technology to unique and innovative products for improved healthcare.
